Just the latest.
So here we are in April. This is my first writing with more than a few words so there's a lot to write about.
We've just finished Reach for the Stars, a fashion show and benefit for the Queen of the Valley Medical Center Cancer Center. All the models are current patients or are in remission. The show was unbelievable.
Tony and I built six 4x8 stage flats. We ended up constructing a great looking stage and Jake outdid himself producing great video text for the big screens. I got to direct the show and, surprisingly, it wasn't that hard to hold myself back from touching the buttons. As a team we wowed the audience and the clients both. It all came off like clockwork. Cycle for Sight went well. Got some great photos near the end. Gotta love the Rotary inflatable. Check out the pics at http://picasaweb.google.com/UpstageStu/RotaryRideForVeteransCycleForSight2009?feat=directlink
We've signed a contract with the City to produce the Fourth of July Celebration and a summer entertainment series in the new Veteran's Amphitheater on Main Street. We're rockin the Chef's Market, the Cajun Festival, the Blues and Brews festival the Wine and Crafts Fair and more. This year we're focusing on streamlining our entire festival setup and operation to take it on the road. There aren't really any other companies out there (that I know of) that do this stuff without outsourcing all the tasks involved so we're looking forward to doing stuff for other Downtown districts.
On the publicity front Tony's been working on finalizing our ad cards as well as finishing our first mailing list. This'll be the first a campaign ever for us. Cool man... Cool.
Well, there's a lot more to write about but the digits are tired and I should leave something for later. Thanks for reading.
